The primary goal in renovating the course at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club in Savannah, Georgia, was to bring the old course up to the modern speed of greens play, which required improved subsurface soil, sand, and drainage. The renovation also included adding forward tees, adjusting locations of bunkers, rebuilding them with capillary concrete liners, and regrassing all fairways with Celebration bermudagrass.
